This part works together with the friction plates:

• Friction plates (lined discs) and steel plates are arranged alternately
• When pressure is applied:
  • The discs are compressed → braking occurs
• When pressure is released:
  • The discs separate → free rotation is allowed

In other words:

• XKAY-00143 → Friction plate (lined disc)
• XKAY-00144 → Plain steel separator plate

• Location: Swing motor (slew motor) brake assembly
• Function:
  • Works together with friction plates
  • Transmits and balances braking force
