Valve Plate (distribution plate) is the plate that controls the inlet and outlet flow of hydraulic oil to the pistons.

What is its function?

In short:
👉 It determines when pressurized oil goes to each piston and when the oil returns.

Detailed function

• High-pressure oil from the hydraulic pump

• Is distributed sequentially to the pistons in the cylinder block

• Through the channels on the valve plate

After the oil completes its work:

• It flows through the low-pressure port

• And is sent back to the return line

What happens if the valve plate is damaged?

It usually shows very clear symptoms ⚠️

🚫 The travel motor loses power
🚫 The tracks move slowly or jerk
🚫 Internal leakage increases → pressure loss
🚫 The motor overheats
🚫 Metal friction noise may occur

In many cases:

If the valve plate is scratched,
👉 the pistons and cylinder block are often damaged as well.
